Pro Kabaddi League: Jaipur Pink Panthers stay on top | Pro-Kabaddi-League News

CHENNAI: Tamil Thalaivas are making difficult for themselves as they failed to take home advantage for the third consecutive time. Ajay Thakur’s boys, despite having a good start, went to down to Pro Kabaddi League toppers Jaipur Pink Panthers 26-28 to suffer their second home loss in three games here at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium on Wednesday.

It was a great comeback by Panthers after losing heavily to UP Yodhha on Tuesday. With Wednesday’s victory, Panthers went 7 points clear of second-placed Delhi Dabang KC (29 pts). Thalaivas, meanwhile, remained at the seventh spot. It was Thalaivas’ fourth loss in nine games while for Panthers it was their seventh victory in as many matches.

Thalaivas had a great chance to post their first home win with brilliant performances by skipper Thakur (6 pts), Rahul Chaudhari (6 pts) and Vineet Sharma (5 pts), but the local favourites kept repeating mistakes in the second half only to allow Panthers to score at crucial junctures.

Panthers skipper Deepak Hooda, who was under the weather on Tuesday, got full game time and led from the front. But raider Nilesh Salunke (7 pts) and allrounder Vishal (4 pts) came up with much-improved shows to help the team gain full points.

Paltan prove too hot for Bulls: Earlier in the evening, Bengaluru Bulls’ top raiders Rohit Kumar and Pawan Sherawat weren’t at their best as they suffered a 23-31 loss against Puneri Paltan.
