No water in parts of Mumbai on Tuesday, Wednesday | Mumbai News


MUMBAI: There will be no water in parts of Andheri, Bandra-east, Dharavi on July 9 and 10, owing to emergency technical work for repair of the Tansa West Water Main in Powai which the BMC plans to take up.
Civic officials said that the hydraulic department plans to carry out work of arresting leakage on 1800 mm diameter Tansa West Main in Powai. Owing to it, there will be no water in wards like G North which includes areas of Dharavi Main Road, Ganesh Temple Road, A. K. G. Nagar, Dilip Kadam Marg, Kumbharwada, Sant Gorakumbhar Marg and H east ward –Bandra Terminal Supply Zone. Apart from it in K east ward areas like Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, MIDC, Subhash Nagar, parts of Marol Village, Millitary Road and surrounding areas would have a 100% water cut.
Currently the city is reeling under a 10% water cut owing to poor water stocks in the lakes supplying water to the city.
