Govt job seekers block Shahbagh with demand increase in age limit to 35 years

Hundreds of job seekers staged a protest today at Shahbagh in Dhaka, blocking the intersection to demand an increase in the age limit for applying to government jobs from 30 to 35 years.

These disruptions affected the traffic flow in the area starting from noon up to the time the demonstration was curtailed. Those demonstrating had a banner demanding the chief adviser to come and listen to their grievances.

One of the protesters said, “The current age limit for civil service application I is 30years, we have been demanding an extension of that age to 35 for the past one and half years and there has been no response.”
